Flat Rate Pricing

for Canvas eBooks

Option 1: PAY ONE PRICE. One low price of $170 (sales included) per quarter is automatically charged to student accounts before the start of the term and includes all Canvas eBooks*. Option 2: A LA CARTE. Students who choose A LA CARTE will be charged for each Canvas eBook separately on their EWU student account. The $170 will be refunded. They can select to opt out of individual Canvas eBooks*. Option 3: OPT OUT OF ALL MATERIALS. Students who choose OPT OUT OF ALL MATERIALS are opting out of Canvas eBooks completely. $170 will be refunded to their account. They choose to get their own course materials or may not be assigned any.*

*Non-Canvas eBooks are the responsibility of the student.

How to Choose Your Program

At the top of the Canvas window will be a banner notifying you about PAY ONE PRICE. Click 'Change Program' and a pop-up menu will appear with three different options: Pay One Price, A La Carte, and Opt Out of All Materials. Pay One Price will automatically be selected, but you have the option to pick between these three.

Go with our flat rate! If the combined cost of your Canvas eBooks adds up to more than $170*, this is the way to go.

A LA CARTE

If the Canvas eBook prices add up to less than $170*, this option lets you pay for what you need.

OPT OUT OF ALL MATERIALS

If you don’t have Canvas eBooks or decide to source it yourself, go ahead and find your own. If you have other textbooks assigned, you must source them yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you are enrolled in any classes, $170 (sales tax included) will be charged to your EWU student account two weeks prior to the first day of the quarter.

Library Free eBooks, Web Free Links, Courseware, and Canvas eBooks are all included in  PAY ONE PRICE .

You can choose A LA CARTE or OPT OUT OF ALL MATERIALS to have the $170 (sales tax included) refunded to your student account.

Canvas eBooks will be charged individually to your EWU student account. You can opt out of Canvas eBooks individually. The PAY ONE PRICE $170 (includes sales tax) will be refunded to your account.

The PAY ONE PRICE $170 (sales tax included) will be refunded to your EWU student account and you are responsible for finding all of your course material yourself.

You are responsible for getting all course materials that are not Canvas eBooks.

Non Canvas eBooks are ebooks not sourced through Canvas. Such as physical books, textbooks, videos or any course materials required by instructors that are not available in a Canvas eBook format. These ARE NOT included in the PAY ONE PRICE rate of $170 (sales tax included) and students are responsible for finding them on their own.

Yes, you will still have all of the study features included in Canvas eBooks and BookShelf such as bookmarking, highlighting, margin notes, flashcards, read along, global search, workbook, instructor annotations, and CoachMe. CoachMe is an AI feature that helps students study course material and stay on track.
